REHEALTH AF研究

REHEALTH AF研究では、80歳以上の非弁膜症性心房細動（AF）患者において、カテーテルアブレーションが症状や生活の質（QOL）を有意に改善し、さらに身体的および認知機能の維持にも寄与することが示されました。一方で、長期的な臨床アウトカム（脳卒中・心不全・死亡など）においては、非アブレーション群との間に有意差は認められませんでした。
この結果は、第89回日本循環器学会学術集会（JCS 2025）Late Breaking Cohort Studiesセッションにて、日本大学医学部 循環器内科学分野の奥村恭男 教授より報告され、TCROSS NEWSにも掲載されました。

In the REHEALTH AF study, catheter ablation in patients aged ≥80 years with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) significantly improved symptoms and quality of life (QoL), and contributed to the preservation of both physical and cognitive function. However, no significant differences were observed in long-term clinical outcomes, such as stroke, heart failure hospitalization, or all-cause mortality, compared with the non-ablation group.

These findings were presented by Prof. Yasuo Okumura from the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Nihon University, during the Late Breaking Cohort Studies session at the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society (JCS 2025) and were featured in TCROSS NEWS.
